We believe that our dogs deserve food that is just as good (dare we say better?) as the food we make for ourselves. This commitment drives our choices every step of the way, from how we raise our animals, to the ingredients we choose, to the kitchens we cook in. You’ll notice the difference the second you open the bag.
Human Grade
Start with 100% Human-Grade ingredients. In other words, real chicken breast, rosemary, blueberries. Things you find in a grocery store and likely eat yourself.
Made in the USA
Source those ingredients responsibly from family farms in the USA and take them to a USDA inspected kitchen that also happens to make delicious food for humans.
Small Batches
Cook those treats in small batches using time honored techniques like dehydration instead of high heat thermal extrusion or other weird stuff. It’s not complicated, it’s just the right thing to do.
Our Animals are Raised with Care
Raising animals the right way not only results in better food, but it’s also simply the right thing to do. We actively work with our family farmers to ensure that our animals are raised to the highest ethical standards.
- Freedom from Hunger and Thirst
- Freedom from Discomfort
- Freedom from Pain, Injury, and Disease
- Freedom to Express Normal Behavior
- Freedom from Fear and Distress
From Our Kitchens to Yours
- USDA Inspected Kitchens
- Low Heat, Small Batch Cooking
- Refrigerated Temperature Control at Every Step
All of our kitchens are GFSI compliant and audited against BRC or SQF Food Safety Standards, ensuring we are held to the highest quality. Unlike most pet food, which is made using high heat thermal extrusion, we slow cook our treats under low heat, retaining more of the food’s nutritional value and flavor. Since we don’t use high heat cooking, we ensure that all ingredients are shipped to our facilities under strict temperature control. Meat is always shipped below 40 degrees to ensure freshness. While our way costs more, it results in a far better product that we think your pup will appreciate.
